HomeState, the beloved Tex Mex kitchen serving food rooted in Texas Mexican home cooking, has teamed up with musician and Paramore frontperson Hayley Williams for the latest installment of its Band Taco Program: The Parachute.
Inspired by bold flavors and a spirit of comfort and care, The Parachute (A Mississippi-A** Taco) is a vegetarian taco comprised of mushrooms, black beans, lettuce, crunchy tortilla strips, Monterey Jack cheese, and a house-made tomatillo ranch, wrapped in HomeState’s signature flour tortilla. The taco is available in-store, online, and via the app for a limited time only, now through May 17, 2026, at all HomeState locations.
This collaboration is part of HomeState’s iconic Band Taco Program, launched in 2015 to unite food, music, and philanthropy. To date, the program has raised over $500,000 for nonprofit organizations, with past collaborators including Questlove, Phoebe Bridgers, Leon Bridges, Vampire Weekend, LCD Soundsystem, The Marías, and Fred Armisen, with whom Hayley collaborated on a special announcement video for The Parachute.
As part of HomeState’s ongoing commitment to community impact, $1 from every Parachute taco sold will benefit Immigrant Defenders Law Center (ImmDef) – California’s largest nonprofit deportation defense law firm, providing free legal aid to community members impacted by the immigration system.
Hayley Williams is a three-time GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter, and musician best known for her role as the frontperson of legendary rock band Paramore.
