Mayor’s Table, the signature restaurant of Lido House Hotel, has debuted a new summer dinner menu complete with experiential and tableside offerings. This overhaul marks the most significant change to the Mayor’s Table menu since its inception in 2018. From the collaborative efforts of Chef-Partner Riley Huddleston, Executive Chef Jonathan de la Cruz, and Chef de Cuisine Nicholas Escobar, the Mayor’s Table culinary team is proud to unveil a bold seasonal menu showcasing their take on reimagined American cuisine. The new summer menu emphasizes produce consciously sourced from responsible fishermen and farmers.
“The Mayor’s Table culinary team is proud to present a menu that is exciting, experiential, and approachable as well as intentionally sourced and thoughtfully crafted, comments Huddleston. “Our goal is to create unforgettable dining experiences that engage all the senses, while honoring local ingredients and the dedicated artisans behind them.”
Bold flavors and playful riffs on classics can be found in shareable starters like an elegant OC Onion Dip served with housemade pillow bread and Petrossian Caviar Service with sherry-roasted banana puree topped with Petrossian caviar and a side stack of banana bilini.
Tableside offerings range from the Charcoal-Grilled Tomahawk, an impressive 48-oz cut carved tableside and served with the restaurant’s signature 72-hour steak sauce to the aromatic Lido Chowder is served with bacon broth siphoned over grilled seafood. Familiar favorites like the Award-Winning Burger – crafted with a half-pound wagyu patty – remain on the menu. Living up to its name, this dish was recently awarded several of ‘Best Burger’ accolades by Riviera Magazine, the Orange County Register, Orange County Business Journal, and Visit Newport Beach.
The new menu’s experiential ethos extends to the bar, where guests can look forward to the Daily Ritual—a towering and aromatic batched cocktail crafted for all to see each day at 5p.m. Guests can look forward to group offerings like Lift the Mood – four espresso martinis poured tableside from a smoke-filled vessel, and a Périgord truffle-infused Gold Fashioned featuring George Dickel x Leopold Bros. three-chamber rye and housemade bitters.
Guests can embark on a culinary journey with “Dine Like a Mayor,” a prix-fixe menu featuring Huddleston’s daily selection of starters, entrees, and desserts. Mayor’s Table is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as brunch on weekends. In addition to its patios and dining room, the restaurant also features a cozy fireplace lounge, a lively central bar area, and a 14-seat private dining Captain’s Table.
