Thompson Restaurants’ beloved Southern brunch concept Milk & Honey, is proud to announce a new community partnership with the Hampton University Proton Cancer Institute (Hampton Proton) to support cancer patients through its newly launched PATH (Patient Access to Help) program. The initiative underscores Milk & Honey’s ongoing commitment to hospitality with purpose by helping ease the everyday burdens that often accompany cancer treatment.

The partnership holds special significance for Thompson Restaurants, as the Hampton area is where Founder and Chairman Warren Thompson grew up and began his career in hospitality. Today, that personal connection continues through Thompson Hospitality’s role as Hampton University’s campus dining partner since 2023, where the company brings its Luxe Life dining program to life through a deep commitment to local engagement, care, and access.

Through the partnership, Milk & Honey will donate meals over the course of three years to patients enrolled in Hampton Proton’s PATH program. Each PATH patient will receive dining vouchers for two guests as part of the “Milk & Honey Experience,” featuring one appetizer, two entrées, one dessert, and two non-alcoholic beverages. Vouchers will be redeemable at the brand’s Hampton (1026D Settlers Landing Road, Hampton, VA 23669) and Virginia Beach (415 19TH ST Suite 100, Virginia Beach, VA 23451) locations, offering patients and their loved ones a moment of comfort, connection, and normalcy.

The PATH partnership reflects Thompson Restaurants’ commitment to making a positive long-standing local impact. Additionally, the specific PATH program that Milk & Honey is aligning with, helps address non-clinical barriers such as food insecurity, transportation, and housing. Hampton Proton is one of 47 proton therapy centers in the U.S. and the only one owned and operated by an HBCU, further making the partnership a perfect fit for Thompson, one of the largest minority-owned Food Service Providers in the country.

“As a hospitality-driven brand, we believe in the power of a hearty, shared meal to uplift spirits,” said Warren Thompson, Founder and Chairman of Thompson Restaurants. “Our partnership with the Hampton University Proton Cancer Institute allows us to extend that philosophy beyond our dining rooms and into the community, supporting patients with an experience centered on care and dignity when they need it most.”

“Programs like PATH allow us to connect patients with resources that ease the challenges they face beyond the clinical setting,” said Tiffany Velez Rodgers, Marketing Director at Hampton Proton. “Community partners such as Milk & Honey play an essential role in helping patients feel supported, seen, and cared for throughout their journey.”

By contributing dining experiences through PATH, Milk & Honey aims to create meaningful moments for patients and their loved ones, further reinforcing the brand’s belief that hospitality can be a powerful force for good.
