Wild Thyme Restaurant Group proudly announces the opening of the eagerly awaited fourth Shorebird Restaurant, adding to its collection of successful culinary concepts. Situated right on the water in Seaport Village, this new dining destination is set to captivate San Diego locals and visitors alike. With an official launch date of August 1, 2024, Shorebird Restaurant promises an exceptional dining experience you won’t want to miss. 

Shorebird Restaurant is a coastal eatery that proudly presents a modern take on classic Americana flavors with influences from traditional seafood and steakhouses. Signature dishes include Chilean Seabass with asparagus risotto, caramelized mushrooms, arugula & cherry tomato salad, lemon vinaigrette, Faroe Island’s Salmon Mignon with a cauliflower purée, and Creekstone Farms Prime Skirt Steak served with a red chimichurri sauce. For  those looking for delicious, shareable plates, our Avocado Fries with a green goddess dressing, Tempura Rock Shrimp, or items from our “Raw Bar,” are a great way to start your meal.

Shorebird San Diego will offer an inviting blend of modern coastal elegance and relaxed beachside charm, spanning over 4,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining space. Designed by Spectrum Space Design—renowned for shaping the ambiance of Shorebird’s other locations—the restaurant’s breezy, contemporary aesthetic will complement its prime waterfront setting at Seaport Village. With seating for 120 guests, the space includes an  upstairs dining room and bar, providing stunning 360-degree views of San Diego Bay. Replacing the beloved Pier Café, this two-story eatery will seamlessly merge indoor and outdoor elements, embracing natural light, ocean-inspired textures, and an inviting, open-air feel that embodies the spirit of Southern California’s coastline. 

Shorebird Restaurant’s beverage program features handcrafted cocktails, premium wines, and craft beer. Guests can unwind with a classic cocktail, such as the signature Shorebird Espresso Martini or ignite their taste buds with a Blood Orange Mezcalita.  

“We crafted our beverage program to complement Shorebird’s menu and showcase our  commitment to sourcing the best local ingredients,” said Shorebird’s Beverage Director, Fran  Lopez. “Our aim is to provide our guests with an excellent dining experience from start to finish.” 

Shorebird Restaurant’s brunch service is offered daily, bringing coastal elegance and vibrant  flavors to every morning. Guests can savor signature dishes like the Lemon Ricotta Soufflé Hot Cakes, or indulge in the Knife & Fork Burrito filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, cheddar cheese and served with charred jalapeno, pico de gallo and sour cream. Shorebird sets the tone for memorable mornings by the coast, any day of the week. 

The dinner menu offers a variety of dishes to suit every taste and occasion. Guests can start with appetizers such as Over-stuffed Bacon and Eggs featuring Wild Thyme’s famous deviled  eggs, celery, bacon, chives and paprika; or our Crab Cakes. Entrees include Snake River Farms Ribeye or Hokkaido Butter Basted Scallops served with Black mussels, vinegar-cured  scallop, corn, potatoes, bacon, potato chowder, chives.  

Shorebird Restaurant is located right on the water in Seaport Village, 885 W. Harbor Dr, San  Diego, CA 92101. The restaurant’s operating hours are Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Friday and Saturday, 9:00AM to 10:00PM.
