Latin American restaurant Cómodo at Freehand Hotel New York has officially relaunched with a refreshed Latin American bistro concept, offering a brand new menu and updated design.
Located within the thoughtfully designed and community-focused Freehand New York, Cómodo is a Latin American bistro-style restaurant from husband and wife duo Felipe Donnelly [Disco Tacos, Colonia Verde and Comparti] and Tamy Rofe [Colonia Verde and Comparti]. Serving up vibrant, bold flavors that offer twists on classic Latin American comfort food, the restaurant aims to create a warm and inviting space for patrons to get comfortable and connect.
Led by Donnelly, the restaurant’s evolution will serve as a tribute to the warmth and comfort of Latin American hospitality. With the debut of the bistro concept, updates include:

- Dishes inspired by Latin American comfort foods and twists on beloved dishes such as Smokey Sea Bream Ceviche with lime juice, rocotto and olive oil, Spaghetti a la Huancaina with grilled brocollini, Pork Milanese with salsa criolla and pickled mustard seeds, and a Butternut Squash Moqueca with coconut milk, crunchy wheatberries pickled peppers, and white rice
- Drinks include new bright and floral cocktails such as the Esmeralda (vodka lemon juice, peach puree, umeshu, blue curacao, amaretto) and a full menu of specialty margaritas like the Sol de Maiz (lime, prickly pear, corn liquor, tequila reposado) and the Julieta (tequila or mezcal, passion fruit, hibiscus, lime and yuzu juice)
