Phuc Yea invites guests to experience an extraordinary culinary celebration. On Thursday, August 14, 2025, for one night only, Chef Cesar Zapata of Phuc Yea will welcome Chef Byron Gomez of Denver’s Michelin-starred BRUTØ for “Friends in Town,” an exclusive dinner that unites two of the most visionary chefs in the country for an evening of flavor, storytelling, and creativity.

This one-of-a-kind collaboration features an exclusive tasting menu for the evening, with each chef presenting two dishes per course across four courses—a vibrant, side-by-side journey through their distinct culinary styles. Guests can look forward to standout creations such as Chef Cesar’s playful yet soulful interpretations of Vietnamese cuisine and Chef Byron’s globally inspired approach. The evening begins with a handcrafted cocktail featuring Reserva de la Familia Tequila, setting the tone for a beautifully curated dining experience. Dinner is priced at $150 per person, with the option to elevate the experience through a Premium drink Pairing at $75 per person, featuring expertly selected wines and signature cocktails crafted with Reserva de la Familia, the official tequila of the Michelin Guide.

Adding a dynamic layer to the experience is Yani Ramos, one of the country’s leading agave spirits experts. With a résumé that includes Alinea and Noma Tulum, Ramos will guide guests through her tequila-forward creations as part of the Premium Pairing, offering a full-sensory experience designed to complement each dish.

Chef Cesar Zapata has spent more than a decade shaping Miami’s Vietnamese culinary landscape, infusing it with his Colombian roots and a bold, modern perspective. As the creative force behind Phuc Yea, Miami’s first pop-up restaurant turned Michelin Bib Gourmand honoree, Cesar continues to redefine what Vietnamese cuisine can look like in a multicultural city. His additional concepts—Pho Sho, and LcKy ChKn—further reflect his fearless approach and dedication to innovation, community, and culture.

Chef Byron Gomez, executive chef of BRUTØ, is the first Costa Rican to earn a Michelin Star. A former Top Chef contender and Eleven Madison Park alum, Byron brings a refined, seasonal, and sustainability-driven philosophy to every dish. Under his leadership, BRUTØ has earned both a Michelin Star and a Michelin Green Star for its commitment to culinary excellence and environmental responsibility.

To make the evening even more memorable, each guest will receive an exclusive gift box with signed keepsakes and curated items from both chefs, a personal memento from a night that celebrates talent, culture, and creativity.

This is more than a dinner, it is a moment of culinary brilliance shared between two chefs, one kitchen, and one unforgettable evening. To make a reservation visit: OpenTable – Phuc Yea Miami.
