Yardbird Southern Table & Bar, the leading modern Southern kitchen known for its award-winning fried chicken, warm hospitality, and rich culinary traditions of the American South, is marking National Burger Month this May, with a limited-time menu of chef-driven specials, available at locations in Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, and Washington, D.C., from May 1 through May 31.

Developed by Vice President of Culinary & Operations, Chef Patrick Rebholz, the lineup reflects Yardbird’s approach to cooking, thoughtful, ingredient driven, and rooted in Southern traditions, with a willingness to explore new ideas along the way.

National Burger Month has become an annual moment for Yardbird to step outside the core menu and experiment, testing new ideas, working with unexpected formats, and introducing limited-time dishes that won’t live on beyond the month.

“This is a chance for us to try things we wouldn’t normally put on the menu year-round,” said Chef Patrick Rebholz. “We can take a familiar format and look at it differently, while still keeping the flavors grounded in what we do. We’re excited to see guests come in and experience these new ideas alongside the dishes they already know and love.”

The limited-time menu features a range of savory options, alongside one of the brand’s most unexpected additions to date – Southern Butter Pecan Ice Cream Sandwich, A nod to classic Southern desserts, the dish swaps the traditional bun for wagyu beef tallow chocolate chip cookies, layered with butter pecan ice cream, toasted pecans, and house-made bourbon caramel. The result is a playful, well-balanced take that leans into familiar flavors in a new format.

The full National Burger Month lineup includes:

  • Grass-Fed Burger BLT – Grilled 8oz grass-fed beef with sharp cheddar, smoky bacon, pickles, lettuce, and tomato on brioche, served with truffle fries
  • Nashville Hot Chicken Burger – Crispy chicken with a Carolina Reaper rub, spicy slaw, lettuce, and tomato, served with house fries
  • Bayou Jerk Salmon Burger – Jerk-spiced salmon with piquillo pepper aioli, lettuce, tomato, and onion, served with a side salad
  • Southern Butter Pecan Ice Cream Sandwich – Wagyu tallow chocolate chip cookies, butter pecan ice cream, toasted pecans, and bourbon caramel
