F1 Arcade today announces that Jonathan Peters will step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer, effective 11 May 2026, as part of a planned leadership transition aligned with the company’s next phase of growth. Jonathan has been instrumental in F1 Arcade’s expansion over the past five years, helping to establish the brand as a category-defining experiential hospitality concept and creating strong foundations for continued international growth.
The transition reflects the evolution of the business as it enters a new phase of scale and operational focus. The Board is finalising the next phase of leadership, with Mat Horvath set to join as CEO. Mat brings over 20 years of global hospitality leadership experience, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer for Gordon Ramsay Restaurants in North America, where he oversaw a portfolio of premium dining concepts and delivered strong revenue growth, operational excellence, and international expansion.
F1 Arcade continues to scale its global footprint, marked by the recent opening of its first franchise location in Madrid, followed by continued expansion into key markets including Chicago, and the ongoing expansion of its franchise model. The business remains focused on accelerating growth across the US and international markets, supported by a strong investor base.
Backed by Formula 1 and Liberty Media, F1 Arcade is the world’s first F1 experiential hospitality brand, offering a gaming experience that simulates the thrill of F1 racing. Since launching its first venue in London in 2022, the brand has expanded across the UK and US, with multiple new locations and franchise sites in development.
Stephen Murphy, Chairman of F1 Arcade, said: “Jonathan has played a central role in building F1® Arcade into the business it is today. His leadership over the past five years has been instrumental in establishing strong foundations for growth, and we are grateful for his contribution as the company enters its next phase.”
We are delighted to welcome Mat to F1 Arcade. His experience in scaling premium hospitality brands and delivering operational excellence makes him exceptionally well placed to lead the business through its next phase of growth.”
Jonathan Peters said: “It has been an incredible journey to be part of building F1 Arcade from its early stages to where it is today. I’m proud of what the team has achieved together and excited to see the business continue to grow and succeed in the years ahead.”
Mat Horvath said: “F1 Arcade is a truly unique and exciting concept, and I’m delighted to be joining at such a pivotal moment in its journey. The business has built strong foundations, with a distinctive brand and a clear global growth opportunity. I’m looking forward to working with the team to build on that momentum and deliver the next phase of expansion.”
