Oak & Stone, the elevated American restaurant known for bold flavors, genuine hospitality, and its self-pour tap wall experience, will make its Texas debut in McKinney on Tuesday, May 19. The restaurant is located at 8575 W. University Drive, Suite 150, McKinney, TX, welcoming guests for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.
Founded in Florida as part of the Artistry Restaurants family, Oak & Stone was built on a simple belief: people don’t just come to eat – they come to have an experience. The brand offers an elevated yet approachable dining experience where guests are invited to slow down and connect while enjoying housemade dishes and a robust drink program.
Now expanding beyond its Florida roots with eight locations, Oak & Stone’s first Texas location in McKinney will intentionally tie into the local community through partnerships with Texas vendors for select ingredients, as well as collaborations with local breweries and distilleries—bringing a distinctly local layer and custom items to the brand’s offerings.
“As we grow beyond Florida, it’s important that each Oak & Stone location reflects the community it serves,” said Sam Aguilar, Brand President. “McKinney is the perfect place for our Texas debut, and we’re looking forward to having a space where guests can gather, discover new flavors, and feel a true sense of connection.”
At the center of the experience is Oak & Stone’s signature self-pour Tap Wall, where guests can explore craft beverages. After checking in with a team member, guests receive a tap card that allows them to pour from approximately 50 rotating taps featuring beer, wine, bourbon, whiskey, cocktails, and an expanding selection of zero-proof options. Guests can sample small pours or enjoy full glasses, discovering new favorites with tasting notes and recommendations from knowledgeable Tap Guides who help turn curiosity into conversation.
In addition to the tap wall, guests can sip on craft cocktails such as the Honey Nut Strawberry Mojito – coconut rum, strawberry puree, lime, mint, honey; Smoked Oak Fashioned – Benchmark Single Barrel Bourbon, fresh orange, amarena cherry, simple syrup, bitters, fresh rosemary, in a smoked glass; and Watermelon Fields Forever – cucumber vodka, watermelon juice, lime, mint.
Making its Texas debut even more notable, Oak & Stone is partnering with iconic Texas staple Terry Black’s Barbecue to introduce exclusive, locally inspired menu items. The collaboration will feature Terry Black’s Dry Rub Wings and the Brisket & Bacon Pizza featuring Terry Black’s signature chopped brisket, spicy candied bacon, chipotle marinara, roasted tomatoes, mozzarella, fresh jalapenos, pickled onions, scallions and housemade BBQ sauce. This collaboration brings together Oak & Stone’s elevated American approach with the bold, time-honored flavors of one of Texas’ most celebrated barbecue brands.
Another Texas-exclusive item is the Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers made with street corn and cream cheese filling, crispy bacon and scallions served with housemade ranch dressing.
Menu highlights include appetizers such as the Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls – made with housemade dough, stuffed with shaved ribeye, onions, cheese, served with Shiner Bock beer cheese; and Pretzel-Crusted Sashimi – thinly sliced ahi tuna drizzled with kabayaki and ginger honey mustard. Wings are another guest favorite tossed in housemade sauces such as the Bourbon Sticky – sweet tangy bourbon sauce, scallions and sesame seeds.
Oak & Stone’s artisan pizzas are made with their handcrafted dough and housemade sauces with standouts including The Farmer & Pig with imported prosciutto, arugula, mozzarella, hot honey, garlic-infused herb oil, topped with fresh shaved pecorino romano; Cacio e Pepe with garlic parm sauce, mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan, pecorino romano, fresh basil, cracked black pepper; and the Winger with buffalo chicken tenders, cheddar, ranch, hot sauce aioli, bleu cheese, scallions.
Guests can also enjoy entrees such as the Voodoo Chicken Sandwich – crispy buffalo chicken breast, Zapp’s Voodoo Chips, tomato, american cheese, lettuce and ranch; Sun-Kissed Ahi Bowl – pretzel-crusted tuna, baby spinach, pickled red onion, grilled pineapple, avocado, five-grain quinoa, ginger honey mustard, kabayaki, sesame seed; the Griddle Burger – smash burger patties, cheddar blend, crispy onion straws, lettuce, secret sauce; and the Crispy BBQ Chicken Salad – crispy fried chicken, mixed greens, roasted corn, red onion, roasted tomato, cheddar, tortilla strips, housemade BBQ sauce, ranch dressing. The menu also features rotating limited-time, seasonal offerings throughout the year.
The approximately 6,000-square-foot space will accommodate seating for around 200 guests and is designed to feel warm, energetic, and lived-in—like being welcomed into a friend’s home. The space blends comfort with character to create an environment that naturally encourages conversation and community. Open, social layouts invite gathering and exploration, while layered materials and thoughtful textures lend a handcrafted, approachable feel. The result is a lively yet relaxed atmosphere that transitions seamlessly from daytime brunches to late-night hangs.
Dayparts will include lunch and dinner daily, with brunch offered on Saturdays and Sundays.
